It's all in the works

I've repeatedly been asked the questions "how do I get your stuff?" and "do you accept cards?" over the last couple of weeks.

So here are my anwsers:

As of right now I am not able to take credit cards, but in the very near future I will be. Like very near future as in the next week or two probably. I just upgraded my phone so that I can get the Square plug in that will allow me to safely and securely run cards, email you a receipt, etc. Pretty sweet eh? You can read more about Square at squareup.com. In addition to Square, I am also working on a way for people to buy directly from this blog although I don't have a specific time frame on that.

Until then (but even after then really) I will continually post the different locations of shows and boutiques Namuli Jewelry will be available at. Right now I will still be at the Pleasant Grove Promenade every Thrusday evening, from 5-9 in the park located at 100 S. Main Street. The Promenade goes until the end of September, but because I start back to school the end of August, I am not sure if I will be able to be there every week until the end of September, however I will for sure be there every week until the end of August.

Hopefully this helps!

I got the blog up and running. BooYa! :)

You are reading the first EVER Namuli Jewelry blog post. I hope you can feel how momentous this is. Its a pretty big deal for me. Hence the BooYa.

It's a big deal for a couple of different reasons, the biggest one being that I am super excited about Namuli Jewelry.

You will notice that the three words I chose to describe Namuli Jewelry were unique, affordable and purposeful. Unique because everything is created by yours truly. There will be no buying and reselling here. Like most artists, I buy supplies and find inspiration from different experiences, people and places; which all boils down to me creating the jewelry I sell. Depending on how big of a creating bing I'm on, I'll have the bruises on the end of my fingers to prove it.

Affordable more or less speaks for itself. I'm a frugal girl. I love hand-me-downs and can bargain shop with the best of them. The same goes for my jewelry--minus the hand-me-down part of course. Earrings are $6-$12 with an occasional $14 pair here and there, necklaces are $16-$18. In order to keep prices low, I don't use sterling silver. Most of my earring backs are brass or surgical steel. I do have sterling silver backs on hand that I can switch out for anyone that needs/wants them, The only thing I ask is that you pay for the cost of the backs in addition to the price of the earrings.

Purposeful because it gives back. To make a long story short (we will get into all the details of this in another post) the idea for Namuli Jewelry started as a way to raise money to help some friends in Africa. At this point in the game, I am still trying to get things up and running, but my long term goal for Namuli Jewelry is to become established to the point that it can financially help benefit different local and global charities and grass-root organizations. Because this is my ultimate goal, I plan to incorporate that philosophy along the way so be sure to watch the blog to see what awesome organizations are benefiting from your purchases.

And now for a few pics. These are just to give a little taste of Namuli. If you like what you see, come see me at the Pleasant Grove Promenade. The promenade is held every Thursday evening from 5:00-9:00 p.m. in the park at 100 S. Main Street in Pleasant Grove. Hope to see you there!
