about

You will notice that the three words I chose to describe Namuli Jewelry were unique, affordable and purposeful. Unique because everything is created by yours truly. There will be no buying and reselling here. Like most artists, I buy supplies and find inspiration from different experiences, people and places; which all boils down to me creating the jewelry I sell. Depending on how big of a creating bing I'm on, I'll have the bruises on the end of my fingers to prove it.
Affordable more or less speaks for itself. I'm a frugal girl. I love hand-me-downs and can bargain shop with the best of them. The same goes for my jewelry--minus the hand-me-down part of course. Earrings are $6-$12 with an occasional $14 pair here and there, necklaces are $12-$18. In order to keep prices low, I don't use sterling silver. Most of my earring backs are brass or surgical steel. I do have sterling silver backs on hand that I can switch out for anyone that needs/wants them, The only thing I ask is that you pay for the cost of the backs in addition to the price of the earrings.
Purposeful because it gives back. To make a long story short (see the namuli? page for the slightly longer version) the idea for Namuli Jewelry started as a way to raise money to help some friends in Africa. At this point in the game, I am still trying to get things up and running, but my long term goal for Namuli Jewelry is to become established to the point that it can financially help benefit different local and global charities and grass-root organizations. Because this is my ultimate goal, I plan to incorporate that philosophy along the way so be sure to watch the blog to see what awesome organizations are benefiting from your purchases.
